Brushes for painting Esuri
This brush is used for “Esuri/pre-printing” (copying a rough sketch).
It is the same as the one used by Arimatsu craftsmen.
The patterned paper is placed on the fabric, and a blue flower (a liquid that disappears when washed in water) is brushed onto the fabric to mark where the threads are to be tied and squeezed.
