Syofunori glue is an adhesive that has been used for a long time in the work of mounting (a picture)
It is one of the most indispensable adhesives for the restoration of cultural properties and is currently used for the restoration of paper materials overseas.

The raw material for fu glue is starch extracted from wheat flour. To refine it, wheat flour is mixed with a small amount of saltwater and kneaded well to make a rice cake shape. The precipitated powder becomes the raw material for fu paste.

To make the paste, the ratio of 1 part fu flour to 3 parts water is combined, and the mixture is left overnight to moisten before being boiled.

This starch glue is used for lining and attaching shoji screens. Its feature is that it can be peeled off again when moistened. It is made by cooking it in a pan.
