About Kaga yubinuki
In Kanazawa, the town of Kaga Yuzen, there used to be many seamstresses who made their own yubinuki (thimble) for sewing.
Seamstresses at that time saved colorful leftover silk threads, cloth, and silk batting used in Kaga Yuzen and other crafts over the course of a year, and used them to make yubinuki during the New Year vacations. This was the beginning of “Kaga yubinuki.
